The
developer's interface is intended to assist application developers in integrating
cash dispenser support with their Windows-based applications. Most application
developers do not have the time to learn all the idiosyncrasies of each cash
dispenser model on the market. Compuflex's developer's interface allows application
developers to write an interface to a generic dispenser module that works
with Compuflex's dispenser-specific modules to interface with any cash dispenser
on the market. With this approach, a developer can write code just once to
support all cash dispensers on the market.
Compuflex's
developer's interface simplifies the work involved in supporting different
cash dispensers and greatly reduces development time by allowing the programmer
to focus only on the essential dispensing tasks and not the dispenser-specific
communication protocol or hardware specification. All a developer has to do
is write an interface to a generic dispenser module that is provided by Compuflex.
This module is then linked to a dispenser-specific module (also available
through Compuflex) that handles all the communication with the dispenser:
The developer's
interface is also flexible enough to allow a developer to either build a significant
amount of dispenser support functions into the native application, or to add
only the most basic functions and allow Compuflex's software to handle many
dispenser support functions such as inventory loading and balancing outside
the native teller application. Below is an outline of some possible scenarios
when working with Compuflex's developer's interface.
